Online business progress this week has mostly been about one thing: work.
A lot of it.
This is turning into a pretty massive week in terms of hours, but sometimes there is not much more to do than keep going and do the best you can with the time available.
The income number has not changed since my last update.
But I did add another subscriber to my email list.
So even when the financial result stays still, something is still moving in the right direction.
And I also made progress on something completely new.
My first proper video is almost ready.
Three Hours for Something That Should Take 45 Minutes
I originally thought the video would take somewhere around 45 minutes to put together.
It took about three hours.
That is not exactly an efficiency record.
Most of the extra time came from learning CapCut and figuring out how the different parts of the editing process actually work.
There were moments when something that should have been extremely simple somehow became a project of its own.
But I think that is mostly a first-time problem.
Now that I understand the basic workflow, I am convinced future videos can be produced much faster.
That is one of those things that is difficult to appreciate before you actually do it.
Watching someone else edit a video can make the process look effortless.
Doing it yourself for the first time is very different.
But now I have gone through the process once.
That matters.
Want a simpler way to build an affiliate marketing business?
One of the systems I am using while building this business is ClickBank Profit Club.
It brings together traffic, email follow-up and affiliate offers in a structured system, which is much more appealing to me than constantly trying disconnected tactics.

ClickBank Profit Club is free to join. Optional paid upgrades may be offered after joining, so you can explore the system first and decide whether you want to take it any further.
Technically, the Video Is Not Finished Yet
Calling it my first finished video might actually be slightly optimistic.
What I really have is my first video that is ready for my mentor to review.
That is an important distinction.
I want someone who knows what they are doing to look at it before I publish it.
After that there will probably be some polishing, corrections or small changes.
Then it should finally be ready for YouTube.
But even if changes are needed, the biggest win has already happened.
I now understand how the process works.
The next video will not start with me wondering where everything is or how to perform every basic edit.
There is finally a workflow in my head.
That should save a lot of time.
Now I Can Return to the Traffic Project
Getting the video to this point also means I can finally return to another project I have been talking about for a while.
The more automated approach to generating traffic for the blog.
I have mentioned it several times without actually getting very far.
Part of that is simply because other things kept taking priority.
Part of it is probably my usual time optimism.
But I should now have room to start working through it properly.
I am particularly interested in this because organic traffic remains one of the biggest missing pieces in the business.
The content exists.
The email system exists.
The affiliate offers exist.
The opt-in system exists.
What I need is more of the right people entering that system naturally.
If this traffic project can help with that, it could become very valuable.
This kind of online business progress may not show up immediately in the income numbers, but learning the workflow still matters.
Another Coaching Session Tomorrow
Tomorrow I also have another session with my coach.
Those sessions are useful because they force me to step outside the daily work for a moment and look at the bigger picture.
When you are editing videos, publishing posts, checking analytics and solving small technical problems, it is easy to spend an entire day working without asking whether you are working on the most important thing.
I want to use the session to make sure the next priorities are right.
Especially now that I have more time available to put into the business.
I do not want to fill those hours just for the sake of being busy.
I want them focused on things that can create traffic, subscribers and eventually income.
If you are building an affiliate business too
You do not need to figure out every part of the system completely on your own.
Take a look at ClickBank Profit Club here
It is free to join and gives you a chance to see how traffic, email follow-up and affiliate offers can fit together. Optional paid upgrades may be offered after joining.
Online Business Progress Does Not Always Show Up as Revenue
The income number is unchanged.
That is the number everyone naturally wants to see moving.
But this week has reminded me that progress can show up elsewhere first.
Another subscriber.
A video workflow learned.
A first video almost ready for publication.
A traffic project finally moving back toward the top of the list.
Another coaching session coming up.
None of those things guarantee future income.
But they are pieces that can potentially produce it.
So for now, I keep building.

And hopefully the next time I mention creating a 45-minute video, it will actually take something close to 45 minutes.
