Online business journey one day before the Swedish election with training, social media work and $1,000+ in affiliate earnings

One Day Before the Swedish Election – While My Online Business Keeps Moving

My online business journey continues today, one day before Sweden’s election.

Tomorrow is a big day here in Sweden.

It’s election day.

The race between the two political blocs is extremely close, which makes the final hours before the election particularly interesting.

I’ll be helping out with some of the coordination around the election tomorrow, so it will be a different kind of Sunday for me.

But before that, there is still a normal Saturday to get through — or at least something resembling one.

Tonight: The Final Election Debate

Tonight I’ll be watching the final televised debate before the election.

With the race being so close, it should be interesting to see whether anything that happens during these final hours can influence voters who still haven’t made up their minds.

Then tomorrow, the votes will finally be cast and counted.

Whatever happens, it’s going to be an interesting 24 hours here in Sweden.

Business Numbers: No Change Today

Meanwhile, my online business numbers haven’t moved since my last update.

Email subscribers: 25

Total affiliate earnings: $1,000+

And that’s completely fine.

One thing I’m learning from documenting this journey almost every day is that online business doesn’t move in a straight line.

Sometimes you get a new subscriber.

Sometimes you make a sale.

Sometimes several things happen at once.

And sometimes absolutely nothing changes.

Those quieter days are probably just as important to document as the exciting ones.

Because this is what building something actually looks like.

The Work Continues Anyway

Regardless of whether yesterday produced another sale or subscriber, today’s work doesn’t really change.

I’ll continue with my regular social media publishing and keep putting content out there.

That’s especially important at the moment because I’m trying to get a better understanding of which traffic sources are actually producing visitors and results.

In my previous update, I wrote about my first mentoring call with John Thornhill after signing our 12-month agreement, and some of the decisions we’re now working on around traffic, tracking and product development.

You can read that update here.

The goal isn’t simply to be everywhere forever.

It’s to collect enough data to eventually make better decisions about where my time is best spent.

And if you’re following my journey because you’re interested in getting started with affiliate marketing yourself, ClickBank Profit Club is the system where I earned my first money in affiliate marketing and eventually passed $1,000 in commissions.

It’s also 100% free to join.

Training, Work — And a Broken Computer Screen

Business isn’t the only thing on today’s schedule.

I’ll also get my training done.

Exercise has become an important part of my daily routine, especially when I’m spending a lot of time working at a computer.

And speaking of computers…

My brother’s computer screen has broken, so I’ll also be driving him into the city today.

Not exactly part of the online-business master plan.

But that’s life.

Some days are about strategy, traffic and affiliate commissions.

Other days also include broken computer screens, driving into town and watching election debates.

Usually it’s a mixture of everything.

Building Around Real Life

That’s actually something I’ve come to appreciate about building an online business.

You don’t have to put the rest of your life on hold.

The business has to fit around normal life — work, family, exercise, responsibilities and everything else that happens along the way.

Today I’ll publish my content.

I’ll train.

I’ll help my brother.

I’ll watch the final election debate.

Tomorrow I’ll help with the election.

And somewhere in between all of that, the online business continues to grow one small step at a time.

Today’s Scoreboard

Email subscribers: 25
Total earnings: $1,000+
Business: Social media publishing and continued traffic building
Training: On today’s schedule
Family: Driving my brother into the city to replace his broken computer screen
Tonight: Final Swedish election debate
Tomorrow: Helping with election coordination

No new sale today.

No new subscriber today.

But another day of work completed.

And that’s something I’ve learned to value much more than I did when I started:

Progress isn’t only what happens to the numbers.

It’s also continuing to do the work while the numbers aren’t moving.
